Residents in East Lyme are being warned about individuals going door to door claiming to belong to a power company.

Second-seeded East Lyme advanced to the league championship game at 11 a.m. today in Jewett City against fourth-seeded Waterford when Sydney Swanson hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to beat Griswold, 6-5, in the completion of their semifinal at Veteran’s Park on Friday.
East Lyme built on that lead the rest of the way, rolling to a 17-5 victory and its seventh consecutive ECC tournament title.
The rain-delayed Griswold-East Lyme Eastern Connecticut Conference semifinal softball game will be finished beginning at 5 p.m. today at Veteran#39;s Park in Niantic.
